Google Pixel XL Review

02 January 2017

Launched in October 2016, this is a premium handset by Google and is considered one of its best till date. The sleek design and the power packed features make it a handset that you want to consider if you have a good budget.

Display and design

The tapered body makes the phone fit beautifully on the palm. Color options include black, blue and white. Curved edges and a metal body are typical of any high-end handset. And, you will find this in the Google Pixel XL that is often compared to the iPhone. The 5.5-inch screen is massive and has a resolution of 1440X2560. The 534 ppi resolution ensures great image quality and clarity of the image as well.

Performance

The 1.6 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor works like a dream. You have a 4GB RAM that adds to the power of this device. This ensures that you can run heavy programs like games without the slightest hassle. The phone runs on the Android 7.1 which gives you great icons and user interface options. You have ample internal storage at 32 GB. However, the bad news is that this memory cannot be expanded externally.

Other Features

You have a great 12.3 MP camera in the rear. The selfie camera is quite powerful too at 8 MP. This is a nano SIM handset that only accepts one SIM card. Battery power is also quite good with a 3450 mAh battery. However, the battery is not removable. Connectivity options include everything that you will need such as OS, Bluetooth, Wi-fi, USB OTG, and Bluetooth.

This is a state of the art handset that is on the higher end of the price scale. But, you can compare Google Phone Deals and discounts on Google Pixel XL.
